If you're struggling for gift ideas or partywear inspiration then John Lewis do a great EDIT to inspire you to find the perfect items. I picked up a couple of my wishlist items from the SHINE BRIGHT EDIT which offers a contemporary take on partywear, with a mix of luxury fabrics and staples.
THE 'it' SHOE
Who knew when we first set eyes on these shoes that they would become the 'it' shoe of 2016. You're probably thinking that may be a sweeping statement but you just have to look at any fashionista’s Instagram page to see them donning the trend. Luckily John Lewis has this covered in an array of colours to suit any style - gold, silver, blue, black and embroidered. I picked up the silver for versatility but I may go back and add the embroidered to my collection as they scream designer - at a high street price.
If you thought that the trainer trend left your feet with comfort and ease then the slip on loafer is definitely for you. The trendy slipper that is actually acceptable to wear in public. My favourite is to style them with oversized shirts and tight skinny jeans, taking the masculine look that little bit further. The gold buckle detailing is what caught my eye, mirroring that Gucci Loafer style that has become an obsession with the street style stars this season.
They say a woman's perfume is very personal, but what if the woman in question is struggling to find that perfect scent. They say a lady should know her signature scent by the age of thirty. I had mine at 21 - Emilio Pucci Vivara- until it got discontinued, que mini violin. I love perfume especially if it's bought by someone special. A smell can bring back a million memories or create a brand new story. Miu Miu is a brand I loved already but I'd never come across their fragrances before. It had the same aura about it as my beloved discontinued Vivara, so I fell in love instantly.
"A soft, sensual floral scent of real jasmine and rose absolute set against a deep earth-toned background of Akigalawood."
There is no girl out there that doesn't love a watch. I didn't really understand the love for a decent timepiece until I got my hands on one earlier this year. I've never looked back - I now have a collection in an array of colours. I think they finish off an outfit perfectly, adding a hint of class to an ordinary outfit. I love to match them with bangles in the same metallic colour staying true to the statement - accessorising is key.
If you're struggling for gift ideas this Christmas, believe me when I say you can't go wrong with rose gold. John Lewis do an assortment of watch brands but this rose gold piece from Abbott Lyon really caught my eye. It's so easy to coordinate with rose gold accessories too as there are so many on the market at the moment.
Watches no longer have to break the bank and now come in affordable prices. A large portion of my watch collection is actually from Abbott Lyon as I think they still look on the expensive side even though they are reasonably priced.
Of course I saved the best until last - Coach is a mid-market brand on the cusp of luxury. It's a similar price point to Michael Kors but personally I think the quality is significantly better at Coach with a slightly more mature feel. If you're looking for a durable, good quality bag then Coach is definitely worth investigating. I know I'm not the only one who would love to see one of these beauties underneath the Christmas tree this year.
I picked up this crossbody bag in navy as I knew it's minimalistic nature would go with anything. It's such an elegant design that it would be perfect for both day and evening scenarios.
