It’s finally here, my favourite time of year. The crisp autumn days and the perfect excuse to restock our wardrobe with winter woolies. Why do us Brits complain constantly about the weather but get so excited when the Summer is behind us?
As soon as September hit I ordered two massive hauls of Autumnal goodness which you can watch right here. This post is how I styled a couple of my favourite pieces – these Zara boots being at the forefront. There’s something about velvet and bows that makes my heart tingle inside. Call me pathetic but shoes do actually make me feel this way, the shoe obsession is real!
It was all about sheepskin last year which has now morphed into the shearling, adorned with leather panels and pilot vibes – another nod to the ever present military trend this season. I’m literally obsessed with these coats and my plan is to have them in every colour, gaining in size with each purchase, so by mid-winter you will see me drowning in oversized shearling!
One of my very first loves was Vivienne Westwood when it comes to fashion. I love the way she gathers material in a very structured way. This skirt reminds me of her style with it’s knot design and fabric overlay but still very much accentuating the curve of a woman’s body – not that I have many! Or in my case this skirt makes me look like I have some sort of shape – winner!
Carrying along with the pilot theme I paired the whole look together with some oversized aviators. I’d been looking for the perfect pair for ages and I stumbled across these AJ Morgan designs from ASOS and fell in love.
