It already feels like summer is coming to an end, even though it never really began. How does it feel like Autumn before we’ve even got to take half our summer wardrobe out for a ride? Don’t get me wrong Autumnal shopping is my favourite, I love all the layers and warm coats, but summer just doesn’t seem long enough!
Walking along the hot, sunny beaches in Cannes and watching the sunset over the Mediterranean sea really makes you question – “Why is it I live in England?”
However, there is something about stepping off the plane at Heathrow and being hit with the sharp coldness of British air that makes you feel at home. The same feeling that makes you excited about winter nights, food with friends and snuggles with your loved one (or dog).
Just before I left for the French Riviera I hit the sales knowing that my summer purchases will not get the same wear as my Autumn wardrobe. I headed to The Zara Sales (capitals needed to emphasis it's importance in the fashion calendar) on a mission like a soldier going into battle -ready to win. I had the flats on, comfortable clothing, no makeup and I was prepared to sweat!
I managed to pick up a couple of pieces - this mini being one of them. If you watched my latest haul on Youtube you will know how much I loved this when I picked it up and I am so glad I got to wear it. It was perfect to handle the heat but also looked classy and put together - trying to keep it oh so French!
Lucky for us layering is still in as the seasons change so this is definitely something I will be pairing with a polo-neck this Winter!
